zff Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Just something to pass the time. If it was up to me here would be staters for the defense in the 3 - 4 and 4 - 3. Z-P Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Couple observations ZFF.......... I like Chase "with his head up".......by that I mean at LB so he can see things develop. He's great at "throwing guys out of the way" and in pursuit. When I saw him "down" in the spring, I didn't like what I watched. You were right there next to me so you can remember our surprise that he had no impact when on the line. One option might be to show a 3 man front, but give him the option to attack or react.........kind of an "accessory lineman"........... On depth, Rohr is not a starter. I know, he's a little "small", he's a little "slow" yadda yadda yadda.............but the cat is an animal between the lines, and has the best nose for the ball I've ever seen. He's got to be on the field somewhere for the defense to be it's best. Where dat dudie? Quote
zff Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 Hello Z-P This is really just all the starters. So Jay is on the field at all times. You are right he has a nose for the ball. And you were right about Chase. He would do great a rover on the d-line. Quote
GoZips Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Gentlemen, excellent observations from both of you. Let's hope the football office has people wise enough to read these boards and on occasion accept the advice. Quote
