"Akron … Isn't it amazing what a running game can do? Absent for the last few weeks, the Zip ground game, thanks all to Dennis Kennedy, was able to run over Miami and control the game. The defense also helped by getting the RedHawk offense off the field time and again and limiting the long drives. This doesn't exactly turn the season around, but there's not a game left on the slate that Akron can't win. 7-5 might be enough to get a bowl bid, while 8-4 would definitely get it done."http://cfn.scout.com/2/557666.htmlI totally agree here, but Toledo, Ohio, and Western Michigan will all be tough games. We need Ohio to beat Can't this weekend for the possibility of a three way tie in the East. One step at a time though...let's start with a win at Toledo.

Like you said, it all starts with the Toledo game. I think UT will play much better than it has recently with Nick Cochran back as the starting QB. He's from the Akron area (Wadsworth, I believe) and would like nothing better than to shine against the Zips. At the beginning of the year, he was putting up pretty good numbers against quality opposition. Let hope the Zips can play well in all phases and bring the victory (1st ever in the Glass Bowl?) home.
