Z-P Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Just back from the west coast, and I hate coming into the board from my lap.........Is it time for Charlie to "take a break"?Dju guys see that thing on Sunday? That was not a professional caliber signal caller behind center for our Brownies............Sorry Superman, I still luv ya, but what the hell..............Ya know, we're all proud of our guys when they hit Sunday Ball, but there is a potential down side for our egos when the talking heads start slaughtering Chuck saying "what the hell you expect? He's only from AAAAAAAAAAkron" shit like that.I'm afraid we'll all be ducking for cover by next Sunday night...........Hate to blog this, but it's on my mind........... Quote
blueandgold Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Charlie has struggled this year, but who wouldn't? The Browns O Line is horrific. He is under pressure within 2 seconds almost every play. Even when he does get the ball out of there you can't count on the receivers to make the catch. His mobility is the only thing keeping them from looking even worse. Charlie is trying to do too much because he is such a competitor. Quote
Zip N' Dots Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 I agree with you blueandgold. Charlie is trying too hard to make things happen. Do you blame him? He gets the ball off to his recievers and there you go they drop passes or they tip passes that then fall into the defenders hands. The only critic I have for Charlie is that he is staring down his recievers. If he stops that he will be a much better QB and the recievers will probably be open more often and he won't have to try and slip it in the tight window. Quote
Zips fan Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 I am not a Browns fan but I do want to see Charlie do well. I know the Browns are having a down century so far but before all the blame goes against the quarterback. How is the running game going? Didn't Ruben have 36 yards on 19 carries? The two games the Browns had Ruben get to 100 yards, they won. I think Charlie is carrying the offense right now because the ground game is nonexistent.Ruben has 193 yards rushing in the five loses(38 ypg). This is not to crack on Ruben but to put in perspective that the Browns are alot further away than just a great quarterback. Quote
