UAZipster0305
Just to let everyone know, the only bad loss our men's soccer team had this year (5-0 season opener at the Virginia Soccer Classic) was against the school that won the National Championship this year, University of California, Santa Barbara. One of the other tournament teams that did surprisingly well this year was UNC-Greensboro who we beat badly 4-0 at the end of the season. I believe they made it to the Sweet 16.This further proves that we got screwed in not getting a bid to the tournament! At least we all know that ! skip-zip
I was in shock when I found out that we were not even going to be an at-large. It goes with the territory. Does anyone recall how badly we got screwed on our seeding in last year's tournament? Even when we were #1 for most of the year? If we had been seeded so that we didn't have to play our 2nd round game (against the eventual national champs) on the road, we might have a national championship trophy sitting in Akron right now.I give this award to the NCAA's soccer braintrust
FearTheRoo
I am not so sure I agree that we got screwed. If I remember correctly, all of our losses were to conference champions. That can't bode well for an at-large bid.
