ZachTheZip
Just got back from the game. Here are some of my thoughts , although my thinking capability will be limited for a while. 1.) The crowd absolutely sucked. ure they were loud near the end of the game, but only 3,000 people cannot help but suck for the biggest game of the year no matter how loud they are.2.) For some reason, even though the Zips lost, I feel sort of happy. They played their hearts out and you could see the emotion on the court. They played a good game, regardless of what sort of stats there were.3.)The officiating crew absolutely SUCKED! I have never seen so many bad calls go against a home team.Maybe when I can think straight I will post some more in-depth details, but for now I think I am going to watch some TV or something. Bleacher Bum
Just got home. Sucks we lost, but that was ONE OF THE BEST GAMES i've ever attended. It sucks going home a loser, but definitely one of the most exciting games ever, in any sport at any level. I'm putting this one up there with the football MACC game last year. GoZips88
Just got home from the game as well. Great college basketball game - wish we had more opportunity to watch Akron play quality opponents like Nevada on our home court. Great effort by Akron with free throws and a few too many unforced turnovers being the difference. Terrible crowd - JAR should have been packed. I also thought there could have been a bit more energy flowing from those who did attend given how close the game was and who we were playing. Kudos to Stewart (Stuart?), Rachel, and the rest of the AK-Rowdies for looking out for my son (one of the ballboys tonight) and treating him so well. We had to speak up a little bit when talking to him after the game 'cause his ears were still ringing from all of the yelling that was going on around him! He can't wait to be one of you in the fall of 2013! Time to enjoy Christmas and then get ready for Loyola Marymount. I hope we come out with the same effort and intensity and DON'T lay an egg like Can't did at home against YSU ...
