timmyboy
Would much rather them lose this game so that they can get any thoughts of them being unstoppable (going into the ohio game and the tourney) out of their head. The season is not over, we have been doing great and as everyone knows, toledo is a hard place to play. So i would much rather them get this out of their system now then win out an go into the tourney thinking that they are untouchable and get upset. now they know what areas they have to work at so that they can get better an get over the hump. FearTheRoo
Great points Timmy. We're like 2-9 or something in Toledo. Tough game to win, and tough loss to take. Tell me the Zips won't come out against an already-motivated Ohio team Tuesday!!!GO ZIPS!!!
skip-zip
I really don't think OU will be motivated at all. They now have no chance of getting the #1 seed in the MAC Tournament with their 4 losses, and really have nothing left to play for in the regular season other than a shot at a mid-range seed. Akron will be ready to play after a pretty good showing tonight at a very tough place to play.......and will really deal out some punishment on the Bubba-Cats. After the way they played today, I'm sure OU sees their chances of avoiding a 5th loss to be pretty remote at this point. You really have to be on top of your game to beat Akron at home. Just ask Nevada. And OU is just not playing at that kind of level right now.
jeaglet1
OU has no shot at the #1 seed, but they are still in the running for that #4 and last first round bye so they definetly have something to play for. 4 games in 4 days is infinetly more difficult than 3 in 3. They seem to be a team that plays to the level of their competition, See their games against the zips and rockets and also their losees to Ball St. and NIU. I still think the zips will win, but if you look past them they'll jump up and bite you like NIU did to them yesterday,
