timmyboy
I expected this game to be close in the first half. Dambrot will adjust and the second half we'll pull away. sorry, but your wrong i think.... its hard to pull away when you have to play against the refs also.... this is probably the worst officiating i have ever seen or heard in my life. zipsbandman
Final:Can't State 68George Mason 62MAC is now 2-1 tonight. Can't State scares me big time. They are even a greater threat than Toledo. You look at that team and you see what good recruiting does for a basketball team.

timmyboy
Im excited to see mcknights brother. I remember on espn 2 against WM when they were talking about the guys we signed an they were talking about chris mcknight saying how he was 1st team all state and one of the top players in ohio coming out of HS, an they said the scary thing is.... their saying his brother is even better? has anyone seen game film of this guy? I know we got a few other good players, such as the # 1 PG in all of ohio. and the # 29 center in the country... so our recruiting is starting to grow too. timmyboy
I am watching the nevada game on espn 2 an they were just talking about akron. They said that they were close to being upset by The university of Akron in Akron, and that Akron should have won that game after being up by 8 with just over 2 minutes to go, but they let it slip away. Man i wish we could play them at home right now when we got things rolling and more games under our belt... i think the outcome would be different.. ZachTheZip
Does anybody have the attendance for tonight?
timmyboy
not sure on the exact number, but they just said that then wood was dribbleing the ball up the court by himself an found linehart for the open lay-up, that it had all 5000 people holding their breathe. im guessing that it is close to or maybe over 5000. ZachTheZip
A sellout would be nice. Selling out the BGU game would mean 3 5000+ games this season. I doubt it would happen, but it would be nice.
timmyboy
between wood and travis. akron has got 30 points and 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. we are doing a great job of establishing our big men on the inside, and forcing austin peee to shoot from the outside. lets hope that after tonight we can do the same thing when it comes time for MAC play. timmyboy
I just read the article in todays beacon journal, and it says akron is ranked 95th out of 336 in the officialrating percentage index that the ncaa and its committ compiles. dunno what all that bs means, but i did notice alot of the lower teams in the top 25 lost....maybe the zippers can move up into the top 25-30 teams?? what do ya all think?
