Athlon pre-season.

OK, so Athlon's 2007 football packet is out already. If they are to be believed, the MAC east will be a two team race between Ohio and Akron with a huge dropoff after those two. The west is pretty open with Ball State, WMU and CMU all having good/great years.Our non-conference schedule could go either way. With the exception of the game in Columbus we have a very realistic chance to win every game, if our recruits can live up to their hype. I guess it really depends on what is happening with the whole MAC scheduling debacle. i can't believe the MAC didn't already figure out how its schedule would be with the addition of Temple. They've had years to figure out how to do it, and they still screwed up. I can't wait untill the Big East breaks up. That might be our only chance to get out of this bush-league conference.

we cant even win the MAC championship year in and year out. I would like to see us stay in the MAC until we are able to compete year in and year out for the championship. The MAC committee has become a joke. how do u let a team join and then not realise that them joining will mess up everyones schedule. and what happened wth NC State coming here. I heard that last years game with them was a home and home contract, with us playin the first game at nc state and then the next year nc state comes to the bowl..... nc scared?

If last year is any indication, I am concerned that the players are seeing that we are expected to do well this year. I've said it before, and I will say it again. I believe that the reason our season went south last year was because of two factors:1) We were favorites to win the MAC in preseason polls.You aren't going to sneak up on anyone when that happens. 2) We beat NC StateThat's right. Beating NC State made these guys think they were much better than they were, and likely led to some "big heads" that ruined the work ethic of some players during the rest of the year.

I agree.I really hope that JD has learned from last year and will keep pushing the team even further, even after big accomplishments. They should never be satisfied with the outcome. I don't care if we beat OSU by twenty, its only one game. I hope the team won't rest on any percieved laurels. You have to do the job and do it well before you can relax and celebrate.

where is the army game going to be played...where is the indiana game going to be played?...if the AD and JD allow the schedule to affect how this team plays,then both need to go...concentrate on WINNING the MAC EAST consistently...until you can do that the program is a backwater...by the way Can't will be in it...
