zen
You can't fight the power with anything except power. We have none. Crying has no influence (unless you are a hot blonde who just got pulled over by a rookie cop) and the only attention you bring from the truely un-interested are comments like "If you would have won your tourney, you wouldn't have this issue. Quit your whining"
zippyrifle32
yeah but crying is good. it helps the healing process.
zen
I know. I just felt like someone had to take the responsibility for delivering the dreaded reality-check.
zipsbandman
Okay then we should just sit back and act like nothing happened. Actually nothing did happen lol we did not make the postseason. Then what's the point of fielding athletic teams then if we have nothing to play for??
KNCLZip
We can't change this year's selections, but we have to do something to let people know we're not satisfied and that the Zips were treated poorly and unfairly. Otherwise they'll step on us again thinking that we don't care!
GoZips88
I agree with one of the other posts I read somewhere else on the board ... all of our teams (basketball, football, soccer in particular) need to play with a huge cow-chip on their shoulder next year. Win some games that mean something and beat the hell out of those you SHOULD beat. Play within ourselves but with a real attitude that says we're tired of this crap and we're going to do something about it ourselves. Win games that mean something and win as often as we can and we may not have to rely on others as much to get where we want to be.
johnnyzip84
There is ONE thing I can do about this whole mess. Sure, it will be purely meaningless to anyone but me. And you might say I'm cutting my nose off to spite my face. That's OK, I canlive with that. For 2007, I will not watch ANY NCAA or NIT tournament games (men's of women's) on TV. So what if I'm like the proverbial mouse giving the cat the bird prior his untimely demise.
UA Fan
Is it crying if you have a legitimate point? We were a 1-point (Hail-Mary) loss, three 2-point losses and one 3-point loss from having 31 wins, just through the end of the conf. tourney. bigzipguy
Johnnyzip84: That was my plan, even before the NIT snub!!!! Good idea!!!
zippyrifle32
i'm going to admit that i'm not strong enough for that. basketball is my favorite sport and march is the best time of year... but i assure you i will be bitching the whole time i'm watching to anyone willing to lend me an ear. johnnyzip84
It's by far my favorite sport and college is my favorite version. I just can't see helping to feed the mouth that puked all over us. OK, sick analogy aside, TV (ESPN/CBS) can kiss my butt. This is the REAL reason behind the snub. GoZips88
No NCAA or NIT on TV or radio for me this year. I don't usually watch/listen much past the first couple of rounds anyway since I usual have had my fill of BCS schools beating themselves up during the regular season by that point. I may check espn.com to see how Miami and Toledo do but that will be about it.
