Z.I.P.
I could understand when the tennis squad was shut out by Miami and Ball State -- both traditionally strong programs. But Friday we lost 7-0 to Buffalo. BUFFALO! Please, I know the ladies are giving their all, and hope that they are good students as well as players. Now tell us if there is ANY hope for if not a revival, then just a breath of life. What has to happen for Akron tennis to be competitive? Does this program only exist to satisfy Title IX? I hope not. Best of luck, and I hope someone's paying attention.
skip-zip
Until Title IX is evaluated again, logically, several programs will continue to exist in order to fulfill those requirements.
zippyrifle32
they've been doing better this year than they have the past few years. i say give them some more time with their new coach.
lilcat19
Haha, well obviously Z.I.P. you dont follow MAC womens tennis. Buffalo is second in our conference and very very good. Ball State was a team that we kind of had a chance against. Miami isnt as strong as they used to be. Western is the top team with Buffalo right behind them and then most likely Toledo. We had a great match against Bowling Green and we won the doubles point against them...which for us is a pretty big deal. And to be honest, it is the only doubles point that BG has lost as of yet.The Tennis team has won more matches this year than we have since 1998. I'd say we are getting better. Maybe you should come watch us play before you say we stink. Saturday, April 21st we are playing Northern Illinois at home. It is our last home match and senior day. Feel free to come watch

And sorry, but it doesn't look like I can make your next match.
