I just learned that one of the top 5 players in the state and a kid that Akron offered, Devoe Torrence has transfered from Canton South to Massillion. He said some pretty messed up things in his interview. He stated that he was going to massillion because he wanted to play for a team that was going to contend for a state title, and he didnt see Canton South doing that. He also stated that the things at Massillion or more like a real football team, from the lifting to the workouts. Never once did he mention anything about the academics being better, the transfer was solely for sports. Nothing like stabbing the school that stuck with you through everything right in the back, but im sure it happens all the time, but not with such high profile players.

Timmyboy, I remember at the begining of the year there was an article on him and his brother in the canton and massilllon papers about the racial problems that were going on in that school. I know both brothers have not used that as a reason much but the papers made it sound like a real problem and that was the reason for it. Not sure what really happened there myself but that was in the papers.
