timmyboy Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 University of Akron mascot, Zippy, will be featured on ESPN Classic’s weekly television program, NCAA On Campus, as part of its “Mascot Mania” segment. The show will be telecast on Wednesday, June 20 at 1:30 pm. The feature, which is scheduled to run approximately 20 minutes into the 30-minute show, gives the history of both the term “Zips” as well as the history of Zippy. It also shows Zippy in action at athletic events, on campus and in the community. check it out if you get a chance and write back an let everyone know what you thought of it.
