Quickzips Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Appalachian State:34Michigan:32In the big house. Now if we come out and take down OSU next week..... Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 as much as I'd love to see it, I don't think they will let a repeat of the Ann Arbor game happen. Our failure on 3rd downs and miscues on special teams will be our downfall against the scarlet nuts. Tressel will have them ready. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Akron has a lot of film to work with against a competitive team. OSU's backups were in for so long that the starters won't improve as much by watching film. OSU will rely on their talent and depth to overcome any challenge by Akron, but I get the feeling that Akron is deeper talent-wise at more positions than we have been in a long time. Here's hoping that the Zips at least make it interesting. Quote

Our WR corps, other than Jabari, is, well I can't think of the right term.....Let's just say that no team is going to worry about us beating them deep. Quote

I agree Jabari is good but he still drops too many passes IMO that he should catch. Granted he did make some spectacular catches but he dropped some easy ones too. And is it me or did they go to him alot in the game none of the other wideouts got any meaningful reps. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Fuqua got some good reps in. Nothing nearly as memorable as Arthur, but pretty solid if I remember. JD didn't want to show off any more than he needed to to win the game. He said that we mave multiple deep threats at WR. I trust that he is right and simply didn't want to give anybody any film to work with. Quote
Cicero Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I did my graduate work at BGSU. It was fun to watch them pull that off. Going for 2 was a gutsy call, but I liked it. I am a Buckeye fan but MAC educated. I generally root for MAC teams except when they come to Columbus. (or is they happen to be Ohio U) Quote
