Guest Zip88 Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Akron (2-4, 2-1 MAC) at UCF (0-5, 0-3 MAC) Series: Akron leads 4-2 Outlook: Is this finally the week that the State of Florida’s most highly compensated football coaching staff secures its first victory? The only Division 1A team in the nation without a victory, the Golden Knights finally may have had something to build on from last week’s heart wrenching defeat to Northern Illinois. If the combination of quarterback Steven Moffett to wide receiver Travis Capers continues to show signs of being a strong work in progress, the Golden Knights will be able to upset the Zips if they can keep Charlie Frye in check. Looks like George O’Leary and company will finally get that elusive first victory. Prediction: UCF 24, Akron 23. Quote
Guest Lee Corso Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 This post is exactly right, UCF will win, but it will not even be close. Look for the Knights to cover and add on an extra 10 to boot. Knights +13 is an easy cover my friends. Quote
Zipsrifle Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Well, there is no doubt who Lee is rooting for. I don't know if UCF wins if this will be considered an upset. From most of what I've seen so far, UCF has been getting the nod. I just hope that the Zips keep improving. If they learned from last week, come into this game and make the next step in the learning process, it'll be close. No way the Zips walk away with this one....if anyone walks away, I'll be UCF. As always, I've got to give the nod to the Zips. Hope they play smart football and minimize the turnovers. Hope that Biggs has another good game, hope Jabari is healthy and that Charlie is 100%. If so, Central Florida might have to deal with Hurricane Charlie for a second time this year (I had to fit that one in somewhere! ) Zips 24, UCF 23 Quote
