GoZips88 Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I don't know when ESPNU became available on Time Warner channel 118 here in the Akron area but for those of you interested in scouting Indiana and Western Michigan, the two of them play tonight at 8PM on ESPNU chan 118 following the UAB/FSU game (go UAB!). zip81 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 yeah, they finally got to it (WMU/IU) with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. We had to sit through that lame Florida St. UAB game. Quote
jeaglet1 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Time warner picked up ESPNU and it went live on Sept. 1. Now if they would just pick up espn360... Quote

I think ESPN360 is an Internet thing for people with Verizon DSL.Since I'm a Verizon customer, I have access.I don't think cable systems pick it up....but I could be wrong. Quote
GoZips88 Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 Either Western's defense is pretty bad or Akron is going to have its hands full next week at Indiana. Indiana's QB looks decent and is pretty quick on his feet. IU receivers look pretty good too. Quote

When I had adelphia;s cable high speed internet (prior to Time Warner buying them) I had ESPN360. Your service provider just has to subscribe to it... Quote

Too many turnovers by Western. The Hoosiers won't have their way with our D, not the way they played today. Quote
eguins Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Northern Illinois blew a 31-14 4th quarter lead as I-AA Southern Illinois defeated NIU by a final score of 34-14. SIU is a member of the Gateway Conf, which YSU is a member of.Guys... LOOK UP, You may have lost to OSU, but you guys got some athletes to get you some wins! Quote

skip-zip Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 eguins. You are a piece of work.Based on YOUR performance last week, getting lit up by an amateur Ohio State offensive unit, and our ability to pretty much stuff them cold for 3 quarter today......are you not yet convinced why your administration will not schedule us? eguins Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 eguins. You are a piece of work.Based on YOUR performance last week, getting lit up by an amateur Ohio State offensive unit, and our ability to pretty much stuff them cold for 3 quarter today......are you not yet convinced why your administration will not schedule us?It is more than just a game, it's a rivalry. Back in the 90s; even when you were in the MAC, we played home and home deals, and that is how we want it today. We already get more fans at our games then you, and quite frankly more Ohio State fans would argue that YSU is a better team than Akron. Now I know that you guys are not allowed by MAC rules to come to a I-AA and play, so now it comes down to dollars. YSU got $350k to play Penn St. last year, and $1.5 million to play Ohio State over this and next year... You guys offered us $150k. If we can find a better offer during a BYE week, guess what, we aren't going to schedule you; it's as simple as that. Two football rich towns like Youngstown and Akron should always play each other every year, hell look at our HS teams. Although Youngstown's HS team's have your number each and every year, they are quality games in the best area for HS football in the USA! BTW:YOU DID NOT STUFF THAT OSU OFFENSE TODAY, THE OSU OFFENSE STUFFED THEMSELVES. THEY WERE THE ONES TO TURN THE BALL OVER 5 TIMES YESTERDAY, NOT YOU STOPPING THEM. YSU actually had over 170 yards of offense against OSU and we actually scored on them and had 11 first downs, more than you guys can say! Quote
