g-mann17
Rasor's Blog CommentsAlex The Hoosier Says: September 14th, 2007 at 9:20 am I think it’s cute that Akron thinks it actually has a shot against IU. 1. Jim Tressel wasn’t going to show anyone anything they plan on doing against Washington, or Penn State, or any other team that had a legitimate chance of defeating OSU….that is why your game was so close. That is why the man wins lots and lots of big games.2. Akron beat Army by 14….IU would have beaten Army by 144. This is an Army team that had to sweat against a rugged Rhode Island team.3. To call Indiana’s ground game pee-wee like is as absurd as you people thinking this is a game Akron might win. They rank 3rd in the Big Ten in rushing. IU had Western Michigan down 34-7 before they knew what hit them. IU got lazy and let them back into the game. The reasoning behind that is simple. This team is extremely talented, it was built by Terry Hoepner to win Rose Bowls, not lose to Zippy Chippy… It should have been a 52-7 game. Western will compete for a MAC championship…..Akron won’t……4. IU by 24…..ship the dough5. Frye will be working the fries within a year. Sorry about your luck. skip-zip
This smells like some kind of hoax.
74ZIP
i think IU may be a more dangerous game for the ZIPS than OSWHO...i agree that Tressel was not going to open the playbook against YSWHO or the ZIPS...IWHO has nothing to lose by not trying to roll the ZIPS...they have been a doormat inthe Big-10 for at least my 55 yrs on this earth...honestly if the ZIPS get it together for Can't i'd be much happier... mcperp
Isn't IU bragging about its football prowess something like UNLV bragging about its academics? Oh well, chalk one up for hubris and the power of overconfidence; Zips go to Bloomington and beat the Loosiers 24-19.
Zipsrifle
It really doesn't matter what IU says. I'm sure some Akron fan somewhere has Akron beating IU 144-0. I'm hoping our O makes as big an improvement as our special teams did last week!
RACER
hopefully the coaches learned from last week.please no more dive play, dive play, screen pass.no one said you have to throw a fifty yard bomb, but a pass across the line of scrimage would be nice.even jd said after the game they needed to take more chances downfield.i hope the denfese can play well like last week, but it would hard to play as good as they did last week.i thought nate robinson played with some fire.he is bigger than almost all of the indiana offensive lineman.he could be force inside when he wants to, and we need it tomorrow.go akron!!!!!!!!
