bobbyake
Who was the genius that decided to put general admission in the student section. We had general admission people sitting very close to the front row complaining about us standing up. We offered to switch seats with them and they blew off the idea to complain to the usher. The usher sent a cop that made them switch with us or sit somewhere else.. The problem with getting students to continue to come to games is that Akron doesn't do a good job taking care of us when they blend us in with general admission. The Roo Zoo should be for students first, we had trouble finding good seats because of all the general admissions people. I don't understand. If it was general admission, why couldn't they just move to a seat where there were people sitting down in front of them?If you chose to sit in the student cheering section, you're gonna have to put up with students cheering....no? Heh. I saw that whole debacle. The seating chart clearly shows the 4 southeast sections are designated at student seating. I understand if they were late to the game and those are the only seats available, but those people staked out those seats very early. I made sure none of the GA people decided to sit in the front row of the section I was seating in. Thank God the ushers and cops agreed with us on where people should sit. Zipsrifle
The planning for seating was very poor yesterday. I got into the game a bit late, and they were still trying to pack people into the visitors side when there was clearly room on the home side. Also, they decided to give the HS band students the best seats, snubbing season ticket GA holders. I didn't mind, I actually sat in "The Roo Zoo" and loved it. I was just a little frustrated when the student section began to clear out in an obviously close game at the end of the 3rd......what's the deal there rowdies? bobbyake
Not to make any excuses for students leaving, but some of my friends did because of work.
