flipthezip
Considering the performances we have seen up to this point from our quarterbacks, I have to ask how bad was Hakes?C7 has plenty of ability and athleticism but lacks leadership and according to JD grades out poorly.C11 clearly lacks play making ability and doesn't handle pressure well. What was Sean lacking that he failed to beat or at least be in the mix to compete with these two?Not hating here - just wondering. Will be making the roadie to Kalamazoo and hoping to see some offense.

If he was that great of a D1 prospect he should be playing like a "man among boys".Obviously he isn't.
johnnyzip84
I realize it's a team game, and his O-Line may not be helping him much, but a 40.7 completion percentage is not even a very respectable HS number.
uafan
But we like high school numbers. Just look at our punting! And don't give me that "potential" or the Ohio State game. One good game out of what, 15?
AZipsCrazy
Here's a quote about Hakes' last gameHakes was sacked seven times in the final two quarters, giving the Mounties nine sacks and helping them limit the Pirates to six yards rushing on 34 attempts. Orange Coast had seven other running plays halted for negative yardage, and seven more gained two or fewer yards.I'll hold off on my judgement of Hakes... 7 sacks in the second half alone haha, WOW!!! RACER
i don't understand where this cj7 lacks the leadership.you don't win games by cheerleading and high five teamates.what counts is on the feild.if jd keeps him off the feild for missing a meeting then that's pretty silly.i do not know one person who is always on time to work never misses a day for personal reasons.unless there is something cj7 did instead of just being late for a meeting then it's pretty stupid.he benched him for a game so what is the point now.if jd thinks that cj11 is a better qb then we are really in trouble. skip-zip
Looks like Hakes has no run support either. Sounds like the 2005 and 2006 Charlie Frye era in Cleveland.
