The physically and mentally tough 5-foot-10 senior guard/forward collided with an opposing player and hit her head on the floor so hard that it threatened her health - and future - as a college athlete. After months of treatment and rehabilitation at Akron Children's Hospital, Kara is now practicing with her new teammates at the University of Akron.
