zip37
What a lousy showing by a football GROUP, note not team! Something stinks to HighStreet, the one in Columbus. Still, With ball ammunition lock and load.
ZachTheZip
Touchback on a fumble. BG Ball again.
ZipAlumn
Bowling Green definitely seems to want a win more than Akron. The defense is not tackling they are just trying to block tackle. The offense is only CJ7, and lets see if the coaching staff from BG put a stop to that after the half. This is the first time all year that I saw JD become angry though when CJ7 called that second timeout. Hopefully the second half gets better for Akron, but if this past years is any indication ............. :(
johnnyzip84
Larry Kehres? Lou Tepper? Paul Winters? Vic Whiting? Mike Gottfried?
ZachTheZip
Listening to Mack Rhoades on the radio during half-time. He said that the light poles have been removed completely from the Rubber Bowl. Not sure how that will work out during night games... johnnyzip84
Don't they have to bring in temp lights for the TV games anyway? Or maybe Mack doesn't want good lighting to show all of the empty seats that are sure to be there against OU and CMU
ziptrumpet87
Listening to Mack Rhoades on the radio during half-time. He said that the light poles have been removed completely from the Rubber Bowl. Not sure how that will work out during night games...I wonder if they'll just leave them off this time. With only a few games left, is it worth it to reweld them together?
ZipAlumn
Just took the time to read the article in the Buchtelite and it was interesting was JD said, "I think it's an interesting deal," Brookhart said. "Obviously, it helps us from an exposure standpoint............."With this type of exposure I don't think it helps.

GoZips88
Damn it ... BG interception and return for a TD. 31-6. Put TWO forks in them ...
johnnyzip84
On a positive note, it's nice to hear the U of A band there tonight. I just wish they had more positive plays react to.
akronad
The lights have been temporarily removed. They will be put pack up after the game next week. The same thing has happened the last 2 years.
johnnyzip84
OU is beating Temple (minus DeMichelle) 23-7 late. It's looking like a very real possibility of a 6 game losing streak to end the season
ZipAlumn
At this point it pains me to say that Can't may have a better football team than Akron. Damn did I actually say that? Well at least there is soccer.
johnnyzip84
I have to say that, regardless of the score, it's amazing to see Mackey hit like this in his condition!

It's looking like a very real possibility of a 6 game losing streak to end the season I agree, Akron won't win a game the rest of the season.I don't know why everyone wanted CJ7, he sucks too! Maybe CJ7 + CJ11= a decent QB.Well there is always next year.We still have soccer and basketball season is around the corner!
johnnyzip84
Hmmm if Gregg Brandon had decided to let a banged-up Omar Jacobs play against the Zips 2 years ago, who knows how that may have changed the fortunes for the Zips over recent history? Zipgrad1990
The only mystery left in this game is will we break 10 points. My bet is on us getting one touchdown and finishing with 13 points.

Zipgrad1990
Wow, I didn't think we would score that fast though. I should have predicted a touchdown sooner!
johnnyzip84
Do we onside kick? With Stec??????Uhhhh....NO!
UAZipster0305
With eleven minutes left in the fourth quarter, the only drive BGSU hasn't scored on is when they hit the crossbar near the end of the second quarter! This is disgraceful...I don't know what else to say and don't think it deserves any further thought.
