Guest HoopsManiac
Come on, an exhibition schedule with two DII teams and you go 1-1 with a loss to Ashland....again and a not so great win against Gannon. Yes they lead the entire game but come on. It should have been a dominating one. Not to even talk about the FT shooting. I haven't seen a post player go 0-6 from the line and not even be close since Shaq started trying 50 different ways to approach the line. Are we going to see some wins from this team or not? I'm really a huge supporter of the team and want them to terrorize the MAC but may patience is thin. Any thoughts?
zipper
I hit two or three of the women's games last year since they included them in the men's season ticket package. My first question would be if the "problems" on the court are Kennedy's recruits or Allen's leftovers. My guess is it's the latter.
Guest Guest
It will take a while to clean up the mess left by Coach Allen. Even prior to Allen's tenure - the hallmark of which was recruiting NAIA players to D-I Akron - the program was in disarray. Give Kennedy time - she was literally handed the task of rebuilding a program from NOTHING. Well, next to nothing. I think Allen's last team won a single game...Changing the entire ATMOSPHERE of a program - from the kind of student-athlete you want to attract to tapping the most of their potential on the court - doesn't happen overnight. She'll get some athletes in here. This year, and next year even more so, will be crucial in evaluating progress. Any baby for Coach K yet? Recruit that kid now for the Zips (men's or women's??? we'll soon find out!) Coach K and her hubby are definitely destined for a 6+ footer.
