No, we're not going to a bowl game, but the effort was outstanding. We did have a couple of breaks go our way, but I say it's about time.I guess this answers our question about whether JDs guys were quitting on him, because we were out of the title hunt.I'm seeing the positives on the horizon for the coming year. And before today, I wasn't seeing really that. That player should have been ejected. And if I was OUs coach, I would have pulled him for being a moron, and then bragging about it.

According to the tv announcers all 3 seem to feel he didn't see the fair catch. Replay shows him running with his head down so maybe but I think it was intentional.

I was merely looking for effort from the team last night, and for the 1st time in a while they played with heart and emotion. Maybe it helped that JD looked to be so fired up, even before the fair catch infraction by OU. This was a game that tested JD's powers of motivation, and I have to give him credit. The team was ready to play. Let's hope he can keep things positive for the last two games. Is Mondo a player or what?

Any thoughts from the board on Solich's time-out with 4 seconds left to get one last play (a TD)? A little pissed at Akron for scoring our last TD to push the score out to 48-31 or just playing all the way to the end?
Whoops! Sorry for any misunderstanding ... let me try again ... Do you think Solich didn't appreciate Akron tacking on our late TD and reciprocated by calling the time-out with 4 seconds left so OU could score and stick it back in our shorts?

I believe in playing till the end, and he needs to instill that in his players.
You don't call timeout down 17 with seconds to play. If you happen to score before the end of the game is different than what he did. Screw him and his cheap shot players. If he wanted to instill something in his players he wouldn't let them get away with trying to injure players every game. They also hit Kennedy fielding a kickoff with his knee on the ground. Same player. :nutkick:
