FirstEnergy has always been run by a host of Akron grads -- Tony Alexander has multiple degrees and Pete Burg before him -- Pete even played basketball for Akron in the early 70s I believe. When Kanfer was on the board I think the U may have partnered more with GoJo. It seems the higher up we have Akron grads the better chance we have of having a partnership.

Pete Beg did indeed attend the University of Akron in the mid 60's and he did play basketball for them. In fact I think that he was Captain in his senior year. I know, I was there, and I knew Pete.

I was only disputing what someone said about him playing in the 70s. Knowing a lot about him, I'm guessing that he could not have still been playing at the age he was in the 70s. But I could be wrong. But, I did not know that he was a UA basketball player, so that is a new piece of information
