BirdZip
It took the Giants a while to use him, but he seemed to do well in the game last night. 8 returns for 221 yards, including a 74-yard return for a TD.Domenik Hixon Photo after TD
ZippyRulz
I am so glad to see it. DH seemed to really be in a funk after the Kevin Everett injury and didn't do too well at Denver. Now that Kevin is walking again I think Domenik's spirits are lifted which will allow him to play like he can. The Giants almost did it to NE last night. I don't even know if the NYG are in the playoffs but I hope so...I'd like to see Hixon get another game in or 2 before the off-season. scottditzen
Way to go Domenik!!!!!!!!Ironically the Broncos haven't had a TD return in 100 years.
ZippyRulz
http://www.northjersey.com/page.php?qstr=e...2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2The incident lingered with Hixon for weeks after."Did that affect me? Yes," he said. "I look back at film and just the way I was running I just looked tentative, like I was second-guessing every time. At the time I thought I was doing the right thing, but looking back now I just looked real tentative."
ZippyRulz
http://www.democratandchronicle.com/apps/p...0325/-1/COLUMNSEverett wanted his return to the Ralph to be low-key, and it was. Many in the crowd of 71,302 probably didn't even know he was there. He arrived at the stadium in the morning in a wheelchair and was taken to the Bills locker room. Once inside, he got up out of the chair and began making the rounds, visiting the teammates he hadn't seen since leaving Buffalo two months ago to continue his rehabilitation near his home town in Houston. "It was a great moment in here, in this locker room," Bills safety Donte Whitner said. "It was a miracle. He is an inspiration to all of us. I'm just so happy he's been able to put his life back together." But no one is happier than Hixon. It was not his fault in any way. But he is a human being, and he knows the dangers of his profession, and he realizes that could have been him, or any other NFL player for that matter. To finally meet Everett and chat with him helped ease his own mental torment."It's a blessing to that he just keeps on improving," Hixon said. "I want to see him get back to 100 percent."
