ZippyRulz
I guess this would be a good night to reorganize my sock drawer...can't think of anything else interesting going on. Maybe if I get that done early I'll turn on the TV and see if there are any Three's Company reruns on.
ZachTheZip
Re-building my gaming rig. Nothing beats the smell of thermal paste and melted electronics.
UAZipster0305
It's a good night to get to bed early and catch up on sleep as well.
skip-zip
I'll stay up long enough to see if I can catch the Suckeyes laying an egg again, just like I did during the Florida game last year, and the Illinois game this year. If not, I will go to bed. But I will STILL have the satisfaction of knowing that little ole AKRON, a 4-8 team from the MAC, played the best defensive game against them of anyone they played this year. As a matter of fact, I still have a picture of the scoreboard at halftime of our game against them this year, showing the 3-2 score. If I were a Suckeyes fan, I would have crawled under a rock. bobbyake
It's a great day to be a Zips fan.
skip-zip
bobbyake....I enjoyed every minute of it.Ohio A&M layed yet another egg, just as I predicted. We compete against them for students, athletes, etc., so, I continue you to say that every Suckeyes defeat is helpful to the Zips Nation.Beyond that, The "weak" 10 is getting it's due. It's being rated as nothing more than a step above a mid-major, and rightfully so. Especially when you play us, Can't, and YSU in your OOC. They deserve what they get.Not much you can say at this point, from the college that spends MORE on athletics than ANY other school in the country.I'll be enjoying this for awhile
bobbyake
I'm just glad I wont have to hear about them for awhile. I'm happy about their loss because maybe the local media and the people in this area will start to open their eyes to the success the Zips basketball team is having this year.I look at it this way, OSU fans in Akron can cheer up because the Zips basketball team is a worthy team to root for and will help them forget about the Suckeyes for awhile. bobbyake
Let me add that the Cavs aren't playing that great this year, this might help lead all the fairweather fans in this area to the Zips basketball team. Don't get me wrong here, I'm a Cavs fan and I root for them. I'm just stating some postives for Akron basketball this year.
zippyrifle32
the whole bcs bowl thing is a joke. this year just proves that between politics and money, the majority of the teams in the country have no chance at the national title no matter how good they are. it really makes me angry and disgusts me that the ncaa allows it. They deserve what they get.Scheduling for all the evil big conferences work the same. Most BCS Schools schedule one other BCS school and 3 I-AA and shit schools.OSU scheduled Washington, Akron K-SUcks and YSU.LSU scheduled VT (a step above Wash. for sure) Middle Tennesee, La. Tech, and Tulane. Not much better OOC than OSU.FLA scheduled Fla. St. (booty), Western Kentucky, Troy, and Florida Atlantic...do we notice a trend here.Kentucky played Louisville (not very impressive this year), Eastern Kentucky, K-SUcks, and Florida Atlantic.Apart from OSU, I picked 3 of the finest schools the SEC has to offer, but I'd be willing to bet that the Big XII, Pac Ten, and Big East follow the same pattern. The BCS conferences have the advantage, and they always will. MAC Titles will be all we can ever hope for. That's the nature of the College Football Beast. The big schools have all the money and prestige, and they don't really like to share that. I can't say I blame them, but I can't say I like it either.
