skip-zip Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 Ok...this might be a little premature and optimistic....but here's what I see.....OU beat Miami tonight. Miami now has 2 losses, very early in the conference schedule.We play like we did at home against the Bubba Cats last year, and we tag them with their second loss also. One of which is to lowly BG.On the other hand, we quickly move to 3-0, AND with a division road win (tonight) already under our belt. Could this be turning into a 2-team race early in the East Division schedule? Looks like that could be the case. Some nights, they're lights out, other nights, such as against BG, they leave you scratching your head. Surprisingly, Bubba is shooting a LOT less compared to last year. He was 2-9 against Miami with 8 points, 7 assists, no turnovers and 2 rebounds. The three you have to worry about if you're Akron is Williams, Tillman, and Orr. I can see why you count them out.However, Miami lost 2 games @Akron and @Ohio which are both games i would expect them to loose anyways.Every team in the conference is expected to loose @Akron, @Ohio, @Miami, and @Can't. Winning those games will be a huge boost up but loosing them is the norm.So what i am trying to say is that we have not won any huge game yet, and Miami hasn't lost any bad games either. ZachTheZip Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 I was at a celebration all day yesterday, so I missed most of the game, but for the parts I could hear on the radio, I heard the Akron fans drowning out the whole arena. Great job guys. I thought that this game would be a toughie. We historically have problems at Buffalo. For some reason we have a hard time winning there. I'm glad that we pulled out a win because I really really want to get the MAC regular season title so we don't have to worry about being in the postseason.
