ZachTheZip Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 http://www.ohio.com/sports/15536197.htmlJ Wood is already rehabbing and says he hopes to be back for the Can't State game, and guarantees to be ready to play by the MAC tournament. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery! Quote
Zip Watcher Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Woody says: I Shall Return!!!I don't know about you .. but that could go down as one of the great quotes in Zips history .. tremendous leadership there.Get well Wood!Go Zips Quote
GoZips88 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 This fine example of sportsmanship would be my rehab poster child. Just the thought of Ham-N-Cheese doing his little dance and mouthing off instead of shaking hands at Can't would have me doing everything possible to be back in time for the Can't game. Hit the rehab hard, Wood. We'll see you back on the court whenever you're ready (hopefully Senior Night against Can't). Quote
blueandgold Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 As KD mentioned in the article, it is much harder to come back quickly when you are 6-6 250. I have plenty of experience getting busted up...ankels, knees, legs, etc. I'm 6' 2'' 240 and can tell you that what KD says is absolutely true. A small guy can come back much faster. I'm hoping Wood can make a speedy recovery and contribute in the MAC Tourney and hopefully beyond, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Quote
Zip Watcher Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Of course .. it's always possible the ABJ misquoted him, and he actually said:I'll Be BACK!! Quote
bigzipguy Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 Maybe Woody can pull a Willis Reed vs Can't, ala 1970 NBA finals game seven at Madison Square Garden. (Knicks vs Lakers) Wouldn't that be sweet. Keep in mind Can't has those ugly yellow uniforms ala what the Lakers use to wear at their home games!!!!! Quote
