Reason being, if Akron loses tiebreaker to both Can't and Western, as Akron lost to Western, but Can't beat Western.
jeaglet1
With the Can't loss to BG this weekend, the MAC regular season championship could come down to the last game. Should the Zips win, it would drop Can't to the 2 seed, give Akron the 3 seed, and set up a semi-final matchup. If Can't win, it would give them the 1 and drop the zips to 4, again setting up a semi final matchup. That makes this game against OU very big. Keep Can't, Miami, and OU on the other side of the bracket...

If Ohio and Akron end up tied, Ohio holds tiebreaker via them splitting with Can't.Basically - Akron controls their own destiny. One win and they are the 3rd seed at worse. MightyZip6
Ohio holds tiebreaker via them splitting with Can't.Ohio holds tiebreaker because they too beat westren splitting with Can't doesn't mean a thing in the way the tourny is set up.BTW should the best thing happen and the Zips win the outright MAC title, Can't would end up a 4th seed and we would still meet them in the semis. Can't couldn't do worse than the three at this point. They have three games in hand on the fourth place team.
skip-zip
This is really funny.....If we get the #1, and Can't gets the #3, our semifinal matchup is going to be Ohio or Miami, the teams some of us want to avoid. However, if we get #3, and Can't gets #1, we seem to get a better matchup in Western Michigan in the semis. But keep this in mind....if we are the #1 seed, we are declared the MAC regular season champ, and that assures us of an NIT bid if we lose the tournament.
