The Zips will get one last regular season shot at Can't at home on Sunday (don't bother trying to get in, it's sold out), and they made a nice statement last night at Ohio. By shooting 60 percent from the floor, Akron topped Ohio 80-77 in the Convo, a place they haven't won in for three years.In case no one is aware of this website browse on over to www.midmajority.com It is a fantastic site with mid-major apologist Kyle Whelliston running the site (he is also a special contributer to espn.com from time to time). In any case Akron and the MAC in general get plenty of love, and Kyle has been known to be hilarious at times. Quote
zipdiehard Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Maybe I didn't dig deep enough, but I didn't find any love for the Zips. In the "The state of the other 22" rankings part he didn't even have the Zips listed in his poll, but did have both Miami and Ohio in it. I guess despite beating both of them twice this year isn't enough. Quote
