zipdiehard Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 I know it doesn't mean a thing, but the Zips got a mention at the half of the CAA championship game. They were discussing VCU's at large chances and were talking about their lack of a marquee win. Doug Gottlieb did however say they had a nice win at Akron. Even though we were mentioned in a losing manner, it was nice to hear that at least someone knows who we are, especially since VCU did beat Maryland and Houston. Quote
Zipper10 Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Also last night on ESPN U they were going over all the conferences and how many teams were going to go on to dance and one guy said just one from MAC saying they would only be stopped by WMU or Ohio and the other guy says well you are forgetting about Akron who i see winning the MAC and getting two teams in the tourney for the first time in a while.I like him Quote

Zipper10 Posted March 15, 2008 Report Posted March 15, 2008 Tonight on College Gamenight The MAC finals topic came up and Doug Gotlieb said that he thinks Akron should have won last Sunday at the JAR and he thinks they are going to win tomorrow night and the MAC deserves 2 schools in the tourney Quote
