mnhouse Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 i've been reading some background on a big list of recruits and prospects for the 04-05 zips recruiting class. this guy could step in right away and make an impact on either side of the ball. Here is a picture of him below; if you guys can find any pictures on any of the recruits we are looking at that are not at rivals or theinsiders, please post them. It gives all of us a great idea about what we have coming in and gets some early excitment brewing in the zip zone. Quote
zipboy Posted December 10, 2004 Report Posted December 10, 2004 Looks and sounds like a Dan Basch with 2 good knees. Quote
Guest ***GUEST_Z.I.P. Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 I have a friend from that part of PA who sent me a clipping from the PIAA playoffs, Thanksgiving weekend. Lakeland made it to Round 2, I believe of the playoffs before losing to Lansdale Catholic. Joe Tuzze, who's likely headed to be a linebacker at Akron was just the #2 rusher on Lakeland. Though he had 1224 yards and 20 TDs through 12 games, his senior teammate Colin Striefsky, the tailback gained 1,598 yards and scored 24 TDs. I couldn't find any info on Striefsky. I wonder if Akron is recruiting him. Maybe someone can ask off the record. Quote
Guest JD Brookhart Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 The Zips would be much better served to play him at fullback. They have NO ONE for the position next year after losing Basch and Tetzel. The Woody Hills kid is too soft for fullback and is being worked at tail. Tuzze is too short and slow to play linebacker in D1-A. He was recruited as a fullback and that's where he'll play. Quote
