timmyboy
I must say that Can't Fans are the Most classless Pieces of $#!t on earth. Dials little sister ( i presume, because she was wearing a jersey that said dial's sis) was sitting in her seat after the game 1 row in front of the louges. when some of the trash Can't fans seen she had a dials jersey on they started saying rude things to her and she responded by flipping them off. One of the tommy tough nut guys then proceeded to show how mature he was and say ” what you want some of this, you wanna come up here an suck it”. How bout you Can't fans learn to be men and respect females, just cuz your dad probably beat your moms doesnt mean you have to be a loser and disrespect females too! Or better yet..... talk to a MAN like that an you will be spitting out your teeth for the next month!
zipsbandman
They were all drunken slobs. Some of the things they said didn't even make sense. Luckily, the much smarter zip fans ignored them (as if we had much to cheer for anyway) Any zip fan with the audacity to root for them should not even bother going to games. Best thing that can happen is they get stomped in the NCAAs. If, unfortunately, they win, then hopefully Christian finally gets into the radar of the big guys. Their fans and their players are the trash of the conference.
skip-zip
I had a similar experiences where I was sitting. I tried to ignore them, but just couldn't.Booing the military people who were taking their oath of service at halftime????Totally classless, but I am not a bit surprised. s
HOLLYWOODZIPPY
I agree, it is my experience in only a few months with UA that Can't fans are pretty redneck. Maybe they will secede from NE ohio and go down the road to West Virginia. Ok that's probably not going to happen. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed when they booed during the Army's ceremony. Best I could tell though, they booed when they mentioned the President. What a bunch of hippies. Did anyone else find it interesting too that while Akron's following stayed somewhat consistent throughout the entire tournament the Can't fans, while there were plenty on Friday night, really only turned out for Saturday's game? They are just a bunch of fair weather fans who decided to put their hash pipes and bongs down one saturday to come to cleveland. I did appreciate some of the Akron fans retaliation in the parking lot "One and Done, One and Done, One and Done" Pretty clever.
KSUflash07
I caution you from making generalizations about K-S-U fans based on a few. I had the pleasure of attending last night's game and sitting three rows up, which was awesome. I also sat next to some great Akron fans who were very kind and calm. However, the class-less holding of the .13 signs and the chanting of "DUI" really tarnished the Akron fan's image. Even the Akron fan next to me was disgusted.I'm sure some Can't fans do some things that other Can't fans do not approve of.Fans will be fans... best of luck next year. bUAkronG
I also had the Can't fans around me doing the same. Also after the game as I was walking on the concourse I heard them boo Dambrot getting the second place trophy. That is f'ed up right there. I can understand before the game but after? You don't do that. Show some class and applaud the competitor you just beat on the court. I know if the shoe were on the other foot I would have done the same thing. Now like I said I was outside of the arena on the concourse so maybe Dambrot wasn't getting the trophy, but I would assume so since he said something about the Akron Zips, coached by Keith Dambrot followed by a slue of boos. skip-zip
Why in the world would you boo the team getting the 2nd place trophy, when you just won? I'm glad I was gone by that point, and I had already experienced a slew of rude and classless behavior. And surprisingly enough, it was mostly from the older people who you would think would show a little more maturity. Apparently, Can't fans don't change as they get older. Zipsrifle
I find it humorous to go on the fan boards after the games and see fans from both sides calling the others "Classless". I'm sure if I took some time to look there are Can't fans calling Akron fans "Classless" on their message board. "Classless" is in vogue right now. There are going to be rude, obnoxious fans on both sides, (I know I was next to a couple). Believe me, if we had gotten the upper hand late in the game, we were going to give it to them! I think what we are seeing is the Akron-Can't rivalry gaining in intensity. This is a very good thing. Everyone in NE Ohio thinks that the only rivalry that matters is OSU-Michigan. It is apparent to me that the hate between the schools now puts it as one of the top rivalries in the MAC. The media and others will pick up on this and soon, we won't have to worry about the TV stations cutting out of an Akron-Can't FB game to show the OSU Pregame. Now...I can't wait till FB season! My hatred for Can't is higher than ever after last night! I will be one of those "Classless" fans the next time we take it to them!!
