pureVCU Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Wanted to stop by and congratulate The Zips for beating the FSU. I HATE the ACC! I root for any “mid-major” beating an ACC team.Obviously I'm a VCU fan, graduated in 1998 and my father-in-law who now lives in Richmond, VA is an Akron grad. We watched the game together and he was commenting how much the school has changed since he graduated in 1978 (?). We all have our share of passionate fans. I was impressed by the speed of your perimeter defense, zipping around defending the 3. I wish we could have beaten UAB so we could have a shot at a beating an overrated VT Chokie ACC squad. When is your next game? What channel is it on?BTW, make your damn free throws! Quote
Zip Watcher Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks for stopping in!Zips play UMass Saturday at noon on ESPN.We'd like to have the Zips make free throws also. Quote
bigzipguy Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I wish the Zips would have made their free throws(misssed 15) and hit open shots in the lane in the MAC champ game, they would be playing today or tommorow in a DIFFERENT TOURNAMENT!!! . But, having said this, I am still happy they have a game on Sat. Quote
apalmison Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks for posting. Interesting to have a VCU and Akron grad in the same family! Sorry about the tough loss at home. I was pulling for you guys in my NIT bracket (I may be the only person that has one). Best of luck and we'll see you in Richmond. Quote

Nice run to get back into it last night but ran out of magic. Looking forward to the return game next year. Quote
