Gas up the pinto Z-P .. put some logs in the locomotive Hilltopper! It's Zips Road Trip Time!As a public service announcement to the Nation, here's a suggested route for the holiday weekend.Click Me for Fun For the Whole FamilyIt's about a 9+ hour drive straight through to Amherst. So why not break it up for each member of the traveling party:1. Stop in Saratoga Springs to buy your lady friend something nice .. very nice town for an overnight stop. Very quaint little spa town. This is for Zips fans who have some convincing to do.2. Pay a visit to the Naismith Hall of Fame in Springfield, future home of plaques honoring the exploits of Zips such as Keith Dambrot (4 national titles in 8 years from 2009-2017), Ronnie Steward (NCAA all time steals leader), and Zeke Marshall (NCAA all time leader in blocks). This stop is for the kids in the back. Hands on exhibits .. and B&W movies of George Mikan for your Dad. "You're right Dad, Mikan would have dominated Shaq .. I'm sorry I doubted that."3. See the Zips dispatch the UMass Minutemen @ the Mullins Center in Amherst, MA. Another step in the program building process. First of many national TV games on ESPN. Execs rush up from Bristol, CT to try and get an exclusive deal from Mack Rhodes.4. And is Uncle Louie or Aunt Marge looking to scratch that gambling itch? You're in luck. Turns out the Turning Stone Resort & Casino is right on your way back home. Drop them off in the slots room while you get some needed rest .. and you're back on the road in time for Easter dinner back in Akron with the family.I'm looking forward to an exciting holiday weekend, that's for sure.Hope to see you there!Go Zips!ZW B) B) B) B)

Zip Watcher - Hotel location is in Springfield MA.www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bdlmaThe team arrived by flying into Hartford late Wednesay night.I am flying in on Friday morning. Have a nice safe drive. See you in Amherst.
OK, that last post really set off my cell for those of you who have it. My text fingers are blistered so I will post the air ticket info so I don't have to repeat it 15 times.Best source for price comparisons is www.kayak.com.You can not purchase from kayak. Once you find the tickets you want they can link you directly to the purchase page of the site with that specific price deal. Many times this is the airlines own site. The common confusion people are having is finding the right airport near Amherst. The closest airport is Bradley International in Windsor Locks CT. Everyone says they never heard of it, but it is the second busiest airport in New England after Logan in Boston. The airport is 45 miles from Amherst MA. It is located between Hartford CT and Springfield MA.The code for Bradley is BDL. When starting your search on kayak, enter CLE as your originating airport and BDL as your destination. Make sure you check the "show nearby airports" boxes for both the From and To airports. This will allow kayak to include Akron-Canton (CAK), Providence (PVD), Albany (ALB) and others in one search.Based on your personal schedule try different returning dates and times. Some fans are finding deals on Sunday morning return flights for obvious reasons. Several fans have booked on Airbus (www.airbus.com). All airbus flights originate from Port Columbus (CMH)Good Luck and see you in Amherst!

Airbus.com is the website of the Airbus Industries the Aircraft manufacturer. Do you mean Skybus.com?
