Then I would seriously question the credibility of this publication.

Our defense got a free pass last year because of how woeful we were on offense (see QB issues) and because they were respectable at Ohio State. We still have no clue how to defend against mobile QB's, or get pressure on pocket passers for that matter and I've never seen where having 5 DB's in our base defense has been that big of an advantage against the pass like it's supposed to be.
