NCAA Football 2009 Impressions

So EA put out it's newest NCAA Football. And yes I went and bought it, at midnight, because I am a geek like that. Anyway they touted pagentry and mascots. Well how on earth does the game retrograde to not having Zippy. She is the most recognizable mascot, she was in last year's version, she won the Capital One Mascot challenge, so it doesn't make any sense, unless it's some licensing issue.But as for real football, the offensive play book is very accurate to last years offense (read shitty). Two I formations and about 20 shotgun formations with a vast majority of the plays being lateral or east/west direction plays. It was probably the worst playbook I have ever used in the game, and sadly it's also the most accurate playbook I have ever seen. My other big complaint is that while yes the Rubber Bowl is accurate, I'm hard pressed to find another MAC school with an accurate stadium. Anyway that's my vent on NCAA this year.

odd to hear considering that Zippy was one of the mascots it was possible to vote on the cover of the Wii version.

I got it today too...Zippy is in the PS2 version.First thing I did was the "mascot challenge" (skill training basically vs. mascots in drills), and Zippy was my opponent for one of the Wide Receiver drills.

I had made a post in another thread that basically stated that Infociscion Stadium will NOT be in NCAA 2010 unless construction is completed by February 2009. There was a Q&A forum on the Operation Sports website with the developers of the NCAA series and they said they need new stadiums/upgrades etc to be completed by Feb of that year to get in the game...and they do not create stadiums from renderings, they need real photographs.In fact, the developers were not even aware that we were building a new stadium until June of this year...I guess that info is supposed to be delivered to EA by the school directly.I should ask where Zippy went?!!!
