September 13th we paly Ball State in the home opener. The Zips 3-3-5 defense will be tested against the very type of offense it was designed to stop in Nate Davis' offense.September 27th we play Cincinnati. They are a BCS team, which is rare to see in the Rubber Bowl. We might actually have a chance since their QB didn't get his 6th year of eligibility granted.October 11th we play Bowling Green in the Homecoming game. They will likely be the top team in the MAC East this year.November 5th vs. Toledo. I expect low attendance since this is on the ESPN network, but I always enjoy our games with Toledo.November 13th will mark the last college football game played in the Rubber Bowl. Our opponent is Buffalo, but the focus will be more on the stadium than either team. This game should be marketed to death. I would love to see a sellout crowd to close the RB era and open the era of Infocision Stadium. It's unlikely, though, unless we are still in the mix to win the MAC East at that time.

The Buffalo game should be a game of great anticipation (I guess by that time we will know how competitive we had been during the season and will have OTHER questions about the direction of the program answered). My last chance to use a toilet inside of a toilet (at least insofar as at a U of A game)!!But what great memories in that awesome pit.Has anyone heard what the disposition of the bowl will be when we move on campus?? Any rumors, innuendo and heresay about the venerable Rubber Bowl??C'mon Summa Field at Infocision Stadium, RISE UP!!!!Go Zips!!

The end of the Rubber Bowl may mean the end of the urinal trough era in NW Ohio. I remember some really gross scenes involving troughs inside men's rooms at old Cleveland Municipal Stadium at halftime of Browns games. I'll be kind of nostalgic about the last game at the Rubber Bowl; not to suggest that a new campus stadium is not way, way overdue.

I also had to vote for the Buffalo game. It will be one of our most winnable games and we need to pay them back for their first win over us in umpteen tries. But even more than that it will be about the end of the RB era and there will probably be some kind of promotion/s and maybe fireworks. But even more than that, unless there is maximum security, I think the crowd will get very rowdy and see how much they can tear apart before leaving.

Last game in the RB. I also want to see a sellout as I've never seen a sold out Zips game in the RB in the 15 years I've been going. Nobody will get rowdy because nobody is bitter. If someone at UA wanted to make some money, they would chop up the field, tear out the bleachers and urinals to sell to zips fans like myself. I've always wanted to buy a few bleachers and put them in my house!

Come on...tell me you do NOT think anyone here would want those urinal troughs. But perhaps Can't wants/needs them as a receptacle to dye their piss yellow uniforms!!! I say we donate the urinals and some homemade Zip yellow "dye" from our fans to the cause. Go Zips!!

Those urinals get quite a bit of play around here.....I think if they were delivered to the house in a brown, nondescript package, there would be a few takers.
