  1. My expertise is slipping these days. Just don't have the time!
  2. Literally all of these things apply to us as well.
  3. Yeah, I introduced myself to you actually (my name is Al). I had a red t-shirt with leaning Cy on it and a ball cap with the old tornado logo. I'm about 6'1 230ish with brown hair. My buddy Pat was a little shorter and heavier set than me. He had a houndstooth I-State hat on. I guess I didn't say my screen name. We got there around 8 and Pat helped you on the grill while I helped your Akron connections prep the sandwiches some. You gave me a glass of Cyclone OJ (which was delicious). We stocked one of your beer cooler tubs with our case of Yuengling. We talked with Jeff Johnson quite a bit under that shade tree. We were at your tailgate for a good 3 hours, I'd say. Great time and greatly appreciated your efforts. We waved passing the U-Haul on Sunday AM, but I don't think you saw us.
  4. My buddy and I actually bought tickets twice. I'd bought GA tickets for will call pick up a month back, but when we found we had to wait in a several hundred person line that wasn't moving to pick up our tickets about 30 minutes before kick off, we decided to just go to the 3 person line to buy another set of $15 GA tickets. So I guess the two of us counted as 4.
  5. Your ticket counters are very creative.
  6. Just wanted to say that we were really impressed by Infocision Stadium and the Zips fans that we met. The overall turnout wasn't good, but the ones who were out were a good time. I enjoyed the town as well. Downtown was a little slow Saturday night, but we had plenty of fun Friday night in Highland Square and had a good end to Saturday night at the bars by campus. My only complaint was the absolute cluster f*ck that was picking up will call tickets.
  7. I could be off on my Dahmer, but I'm pretty sure your wife wasn't exactly his type.
  8. I wouldn't mind a little more of Ohio State's success.
  9. Do you guys sell booze at the stadium? Asking for a friend.
  10. Probably doesn't help that Ohio has about 4x as many people as Iowa.
  11. Blowing games is what we do. It's what we've always done. I hope we just come out bombs away on Saturday. Sling the rock, and use the pass to set up the run. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50/50 crowd and good energy from our squad. I also could see us being hungover and falling on our face. I have no idea what to make of your squad. I don't take much away from being shredded by a likely playoff team, nor do I take much from shedding one of the worst FCS programs. That makes me nervous. Line seems about right, but I wouldn't be shocked by any result.
  12. Are there any goofy liquor laws in Ohio that we need to be aware of? In Iowa, the rules are such: you have to be 21 to buy it, you can buy all levels at any store that has a license to sell (including grocery stores and gas stations), and you can't get it between 2AM and 6AM (8AM on Sunday). That's about it. But I've found a lot of states have crazy liquor laws in regards to time and place sales restrictions, so I always like to have a game plan. We're planning on Ubering down to the stadium from our hotel and just walking around with a couple cases of Yuengling, with our goal of hitting Cykron's ISU tailgate. Would be fun to hit some Zip 'gates too.
  13. Hi, ISU fan here. A buddy and I are planning on coming, and when I look at StubHub I only see tickets in the middle of the field for about $37, give or take. Is this game pretty close to sold out and that's all that's left? Or is it pretty easy to come by a ticket for less than that on game day? I don't know much about your following or fan interest and don't want to be ignorant and assume anything either way. Looking forward to the road trip, and ready to pound some breakfast beers.
