  2. His 40 speed isn't great, maybe 4.8 at best, but as you can see from his tape , he is very mobile , and throws well on the run. His junior year wasn't as good statistically as soph year, but his senior year now has been excellent. Also, he had to miss the very critical camp season of his junior year w a minor injury, so many coaching staffs never saw him at their camps.. I'm pretty sure Tatarunas would grab a MAC offer , unfortunately the camps he went to as a soph were P5 (Big10, ACC) camps, and the MAC camps he was scheduled to get to end of Junior year (May, June) he had to miss with an injury and then rehab. He recently won the Tony Fisher award (Northern Ohio) was named first team GCC, and now with 1 more win, does something even Mitch Trubisky couldn't do...lead Mentor to the D1 Ohio Championship. He is on the Mr Ohio watch list, so a D1 title might do it. He is also close to Trubisky's passing yardage and TD passing records . In the most recent win, he even led his team in rushing as well. Plus does a lot of community service, has a 3.9 GPA and is a tremendous leader for his teammates. I'm hoping Akron offers this kid.
  3. On to Canton ! http://www.news-herald.com/sports/20171124/tadas-tatarunas-is-writing-thrilling-ending-to-his-unsung-mentor-career-opinion
  4. They (Akron staff) are aware of Tatarunas (I am told), not sure where he is on their board at this point. Mentor plays this friday night in the D1 Semi's , so another chance to evaluate him. He was planning to camp at Akron this past spring, but a minor injury kept him from camping in the critical months of May and June. There is a ton of tape on him obviously, being a 3 year starter. He had 28 TDs as a soph, so he is no late bloomer. Also a great student w a 3.9 GPA. Not sure he is in the mold of the fleet footed QBs Akron now has, more in the Ben Rothliesburger mold, w a terrific arm and enough mobility to get out of trouble and gain yardage. About a 4.8 Fourty (I think)
  5. Tatarunas , 2018 QB Mentor HS (6'5", 220), has PWO from Ohio St and Cinn. Some FCS offers. Akron would be an interesting destination. The Mentor train led by Tadas Tatarunas , keeps on rolling through the Ohio ,D1 (largest schools) playoffs. "Another outstanding season in Saint Ignatius football came to an end on Friday night, as Mentor senior quarterback Tadas Tatarunas directed a fourth-quarter rally that led the Cardinals to a 23-21 victory over the Wildcats in the OHSAA Region 1 championship game at Bedford's Bearcat Stadium" "Most of the fourth quarter belonged to Mentor, however, as Tatarunas consistently hurt the Wildcats with his poise under pressure on third down conversions and his uncanny ability to scramble away for big yards." "More of Tatarunas' third down resolve came to the fore, as he and the rest of Mentor's productive offense put together a 17-play, 71-yard march through the brisk winds in Bearcat Stadium, a drive that ate up 5 minutes and 15 seconds, and ended with McIntosh's eventual game-winning field goal." Wildcats Fall to the Cardinals in the Regional Final PS - St Ignatious was #13 in the country by Maxpreps, previous week they beat #18 St Edwards, also in a last minute drive. Tatarunas, on the Mr Ohio watch list, has approx 80 TDs and 8,500 passing yards in his career at Mentor.
  6. Tatarunas leads Mentor to another thrilling come from behind D1 Ohio playoff win, first beating higher ranked St Eds two weeks ago, tonight beating #1 St Ignatious in another come from behind win. No Noise, Just Poise. A Ben Rothliesberger clone. Still looking for a D1 offer. Akron, what are you waiting for?
  7. Tatarunas has a confirmed offer from Robert Morris in Pittsburg, and a PWO from Ohio St and Cinn. He was invited to attend an Akron game, but couldn't make it. They play St Ignatious this Friday night for the Region 1, D1 title. Akron would have a decent chance of signing him if they offered. He's a very smart, big kid, big armed QB playing in the spread, more like a Luke Falk at Wash St system. Has led his team to some exciting last minute comebacks this month. Very cool under pressure.
  8. How about Mentor HS QB Tadas Tatarunas? A 6'4, 220 lb 2018 QB , on the Mr Ohio Watch list , his team playing St Ignatious next week in the Region 1 D1 final. They upset St Edwards this week. Tatarunas for his 3 year career has approx 8,500 yards passing , 80 TDs, a 3.9 GPA. Has led his team to some dramatic comebacks in the past several weeks, for the season has approx 28 passing TDs and 6 running TDs, w approx 2,800 yards passing. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/3830161/59c6b2d44ba86a0a40d102ef
