I never want to hear anyone tell me that I don't support Akron or the MAC, though I follow another team more than the Zips. I would suspect that your apology was more forced, than him doing it out of good will. I say this due to I sent him an email only hours after I read the initial response he had to Timmy. Listed below is my email to Mr. Boyages. I would like to think my email to him got the point across."Dear Mr. Rick Boyages, I am emailing you in regards to some communication you had with a concerned fan about the MAC Championship this past weekend. You might remember him as Timmy. If you don't remember him as Timmy, let me refresh your memory as I will quote you as saying "It's amazing to me how ignorant your email is." "It is called human error – something which you yourself have probably never been guilty of in your entire life! " "However, I am sure by your comments, that you must have more basketball experience and knowledge than any and all of us. " "Tell me, Timmy, is it tough going through your life as an "expert" on everything? And, oh yes, you have now officially received a reply to your sophomoric email. Lastly, "reguarding" is actually spelled r-e-g-a-r-d-i-n-g. Imagine that, you actually just made the first mistake of your life!" I have read both the original email sent to you by Timmy, as well as your response. Though Timmy may not have been the most professional in his delivery of his message, I can honestly say that you have not shown professionalism in your response much more than the original email sent to you. As a fan of MAC sports, I would hope for more professionalism from those at the top, but I may be incorrect after reading your response to a fan of not only Akron University, but a fan in general. I personally don't care about the time clock, the controversy over the entire MAC Championship, that's old news now and is done and over with. I am not an avid Akron fan but more like a MAC fan. Unfortunately, my image of the MAC is now tarnished by your response to a fan. I wish you the best of luck. Your email response to Timmy will most likely be forwarded to all possible media outlets including Fox Sports, WKYC and NewsNet5 media groups, as well as newspapers. I know it was made public already as I was able to find out about it via the web. You will now have to answer to others why your response to a fan had much less class and professionalism than the original email. I guess you just showed your true colors and now you may have to answer to fans as well as colleagues. Considering that you are in a position of leadership, you sir should be ashamed of yourself. If you feel the need to respond to me in the same manner of which you did Timmy, I will feel free to pass along your email. Best Wishes, MAC Fan"
