just figured i would give a shoutout to the faithfull and explain my appreciation of your support this year.it has been great being a zip, and though redshirted, i can assure you that there is nothing more i want to see than a championship. i can't explain how much i enjoy akron, and the people here.Aside from that, i can assure that the zips are workng hard, and that myself personally, am gearing up for next year... take care...go zips!-usair1493

Hey guys, thanks for responding to my post,I just wanted to note that i also can't believe that the NCAA and the NIT organizations didnt show the Zips any love. I mean winning over 25 games? what more do they want?I mean the only thing i can think of is that maybe if we would have beaten Nevada or made it further in the preseason tournament down in Texas or something like that? It makes me mad because i talked to coach Mcfadden at the start of October. He told me that the Zips could'nt get anyone ranked or good because the other teams didnt wanna loose. They even tried to get the deal with PITT, and of course they declined. How can Akron's schedule get tough if no one wants to play us? Hey Akron faithful!I just got on this site today and created a username. I am Steve Swiech and I will be playing here at Akron next year. I've made it to many games, and even spent the weekend in Cleveland. I'm sorry the weekend didnt turn out the way we all wanted it to. I just wanted to tell you all that i can't wait to play in front of you guys! Your cheers and antics are great, and make Akron b-ball that much more exciting!
