I am....not much to see JT said it all....no need for me to say more. It's Akron's fault that they play in a sorry conference. It's Akron's fault that they didn't recruit the top talent in the land. Akron and the other tiny schools should have there own tournament. The NCAA saved some of us the grief of having to watch more small schools. It's not like a small school like Akron is ever going to win a NCAA or NIT tournament. They saved the school embarrassment

Malone is not even an NCAA institution. They are in the NAIA along with Walsh. Since they give some scholoarship money nased on athletics, they're probably closer to an NCAA D-2 school than NCAA D-3.A HUGE part of the NCAA tourney charm (although I'm sticking to my boycott this year so far!) is the "David vs. Goliath" scripts oftne seen in the early round games. If you take that away, I think the popularity goes way down. Malone may be in the NAIA but Akron is to Ohio State as Malone is to Akron. These guys don't get the greatest athletes and on top of that they don't play the best competition on a week to week basis. Then in the end, fans feel like their teams got robbed because they won X amount of games. What do people expect? If you play in a division that is inferior to big division I schools and for the most part, they all fail to win a high percentage of their out of league play then of course someone's going to get robbed if they lose their conference title game....

I actually think JT's a cool dude. I love that he dedicates his thursday night show to our armed forces. I also love the fact that he created myspace monday to get publicity for independant recording artist by playing a clip of their music. Hey, because of his show our myspace page made the Detroit papers. He's right about the small schools having their own tournament. Malone plays in division III which has it's own tournament. I think they should have a Division I tournament and for the same small schools they should have a division Ia tournament.Lets be real, Akron the other MAC would never compete against the North Carolina's or Kansas'. Oregan is o.k.. I honest think they're over rated, but that's JMHO.

Wow, your college students. Get over it! You go to school to get an education. AK-NOT University is NOT a school known for sports. Miami won fair and square, cheer them on, act like your parents taught you to have a little bit of Class and SHOUT "HAIL TO MIAMI OF OHIO"

Hello all, my name is Damon and I'm originally from Akron. Akron U. should be the last University talking about robbing someone! I used to be in a band called V.E.C. (1997-2003). We had this song named "A.K. Rowdy" and it was hot in 2000. 88wzip gave us alot of love, but at the same time their DJ's were bashing our song. I moved to nashville in 03'. A friend of mine who attends the U of A called me and told me how THE U OF A and its student body started using the title "A.K. Rowdy" without asking for our permission or AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGING the group. I'm not one of these petty people out here who'll sue for anything, but at the same time if I come up with something acknowledge it.How would you feel if you worked your butt off doing something that you loved and someone else used it without acknowledging it?Now if any of you understand the copyright laws then you know that one can't copyright a "Slogan". We copyright the SONG "A.K. Rowdy" under the name of our album, which was "The Ghetto don't luv nobody". Since it's not copyrighted under a title then it's free game. Hey we were young and didn't really comprehend that at the time, but for christ sake if you're gonna steal something as a fan section at least accredit the group who created it.AKRON UNIVERSITY NOW UNDERSTANDS HOW I FELT FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS!

LMAO, how can UA and its student body complain about being robbed when you guys stole the title "A.K. Rowdy" from an local group named V.E.C. without acknowledging them or compensating them? I'm an original member of the group (D-Mizery) and I could believe what I was hearing when a friend of mine told me how UA had named their cheering section the "A.K. Rowdies" without at LEAST acknowledging the ones who made it. Imagine how I felt! If you didn't then you do now. Robbed???? That's soooo funny!

Robbed by the ZipsLOL, not to cause no problems but man it feels good to watch the dirt that goes around come back. Come up with your OWN name zip fans and stop stealing titles from everybody else! This is an unjustice! The same kind of injustice I feel seeing how UA officials and the student body literally STOLE the title "A.K. Rowdy" from our music group. I'm not here to stir up any trouble but come on??? If we're going to talk about fairness and unfairness lets' keep it basic. What goes around comes around. I feel really bad for Romeo, Jeremiah, and the gang but.......I couldn't believe it when someone called me and told me that AU was using "A.K. Rowdy" without at least accrediting the ones who started created it. Unjustice???.....I wouldn't be shocked if the mods didn't allow this post cause they know it's an injustice too....

No compensation, no recognition, nothing. It's not like I wanted money heck I'm pretty o.k., but at least give us some credit. Robbed??? You guys have no idea what being robbed is. Most of your fans don't even know the history of how the name "A.K. Rowdy" came about.So I feel somewhat justified by the mugging that has taken place by the NCAA and NIT officials. If you guys start feeling like the school is cursed...no it's not that. Just know that nothing good ever comes from those who are in the wrong themselves.Yall have a nice day!
