  1. I'll 2nd that!Option one is my favorite. A home game against an FCS school to build confidence and 3 quality but beatable FBS opponents. Also, I think the Louisville agreement should have a return game involved and no more than a 2 for 1.
  2. Band will be marching through campus. I have heard players walking from the Student Union Circle to the Fieldhouse (Walk of Champions). Gates to the Stadium will be opening 2 hours prior to kick-off
  3. From what I have been told by Athletics is that ISP - Akron Athletics signed a contract with Barley House and part of the deal was to have them be the official watch party location. T-shirts were purchased for the staff and everything. Alumni sent the e-mail out in support of the decision by Athletics.
  4. NE Ohio has been starving to represent a winner for a long time, OSU has fed that hunger. If the Zips consistently win, attendance will go up but there will always be OSU gear because they compete for National Championships and we compete for MAC Championships, plain and simple. Could that change? I surely hope so, but it will take time.
  5. I talked with Andre Jones today, an amazing person, very well spoken. He thinks the Zips will definitely surprise the Nittany Lions. I love the attitude he had towards the game and the season.
  6. Agreed, having something like that through the K.e.n.t State game would be a truly great experience for all.
  7. I hadn't read the foreward until I saw this thread. I liked it. My thoughts are it is being sold on the UA campus in the B&N Bookstore. Current students may not know the connection we have with Jim Tressel and I have no problem with Tressel writing the foreward as long as it gets students interested in the Zips product. Heisman is a great story as well. Why be upset with our past and who was once here no matter where they are now. People always reach out to the well-known alumni and friends because it helps in getting the word out to those average fans and potential new ones.We really just need to get over ourselves and embrace what we have to offer. There is great tradition here, why hide it?
  8. I was in the bookstore earlier this week and the book is already on the shelves.
  9. Looks like we offered Zac Rosenbauer # 17 on the list, anyone know anything? Also, with Ryan McCollum (# 19) we are listed.
  10. I talked to athletics today and they are working on a watch party at the Barley House for the Penn State Game.
  11. Um, No, the marketing department gets paid to market athletics. They should be held at a much higher standard.
  12. I highly agree from a PR standpoint it is going to raise eyebrows and that we need to continue our improvements of all programs. Any arena and or soccer stadium will need to be funded privately by alumni and donors to avoid the Peoples Eyebrow (Unless the city can get some of that earmarked money from O'Bama, for new construction projects.....)
  13. I don't see tailgating being allowed within parking deck areas, too much liability especially up top.
  14. dang it, now my inforcision home opener keychain is off by a week!
  15. thatd work, except you wouldnt be able to get any cars out there. University would NEVER allow cars to drive on natural turf... and if its wet... that field would need so much repair it wouldnt be funnyno, no cars, people would go there and play catch, dining services would have food available and open grills. Kind of like the courtyard area that Syracuse had last year
