Thanks for the info! The Middle/Akron games of the mid 80's were classics. I hope tomorrow's game is a good one Thank God football season is almost over for us. We are losing 59-7 to a bad North Texas team. Remember back in our arena when Coach Huggins came out to yell at the refs, someone had snuck up to the rafters and unscrolled a banner that read "Quit Your Bitchin' Bobby"

By the way, I don't think Hammonds, Jr, will be playing in the game on Sunday. He has a stress fracture of some sort and will be out at least one more game.

Sat behind Big Kerry the other night at Austin Peay. In big Kerry's OVC days, we had another post player that was bigger than Hammonds (Dwayne "Bam Bam" Rainey) and they were called the "Twin Tanks" when in the game together. Rainey wasn't near the ball player that Hammonds, Sr, was, however. What is Joe Jakubick (sp?) up to nowadays ?

I'm going, but staying in Murfreesboro. Doesn't look like anyone else is? Hopefully in a year or two the "Zips that Travel" will dramatically increase in number. I appreciate the offer. Let us know if you need any directions to the stadium from your hotel, and/or things to do, places to eat, etc. I know to look for an old school bus to tailgate near, and there's allegedly a "square" area that shoud be hopping on Friday night? I stopped by your Delphi forum about a month ago and a few Blue Raiders were kind enough to help me out. Any good microbreweries around Murfreesboro? We will be tailgating at RV Row on Greenland Drive at the football field on Friday evening. There is also a place called BluesBoro on the square. And how many years have you been in 1-A? Made the trip to Akron last year, and lost a couple of our fans in the beer garden. No beer garden in M'boro, however, but plenty of cold suds in the tailgating areas.
