I know I'll take some heat for this, but LO does deserve some of this credit. Alot of his players like Hixon and Kasparek came through big tonight. Also, I would like to irrelevantly point out that LO's last season was much like this season. Blew a lot of games we should've won and went 5-3 in the MAC. The cards really fell our way this year though, and this staff obviously knows how to win the big one.
I would have to disagree somewhat about the seasons being similar. LO's 7-5 season was with, what? the second easiest schedule in the country? LO's last season was supposed to be good and ended up very mediocre, where as JD was supposed to have a down/rebuilding year and won the MAC championship and is going to the MCB. I dunno, I just have a hard time seeing the two coaches even being compared.
