Are these players on scholarship or just total players in the class? It has to be scholarship, right?

I've recently heard of players who read posts on forums like this one. It's been discussed on Yappi (a HS forum for Ohio) and other players. But I want to ask you, should Akron players read our posts?

I agree that Special Teams could be shaky, but why hasn't anyone asked the obvious questions of why coach hasn't given significant chances to newcomers like Hildreth and Campbell. All through camp Brookhart has indicated, whether by word or deed, that he's going with what he's gone with before. He stated that Hildreth had to "flat out beat" Stec to win the job. Well, if he's better, he's better. Why does he have to be 10% or 20% better? And if he's not, then Stec should get the job. But it sounds like the main reason Stec gets the job is because he had it last year.Again, the only kickers being given the chance at the job are Domonkos (who is terrible, not according to me but Captain Kangaroo and others) and Igor. Neither, according to reports from Rasor and others, has proven themselves. So why hasn't Campbell been working with the 1st or 2nd teams? Rasor has reported multiple times that "Igor and Domonkos missed kicks, Campbell didn't kick" (Paraphrase). Why not?

Can anyone who may have attended practice tell me if they've seen the punters or kickers and how they looked? I know there was a report of a scrimmage by Captain K and he said Domonkos looked terrible, but I haven't heard of how the special teams crew looks in practice.

Word from Rasor is that the top two kickers went 1-6 on fg's in today's scrimmage. How long will it be before they give the walk-on the opportunity to kick? Or will they just go straight to the soccer team before giving him a chance? Something has to be done and with three kickers there is no reason you can't find one good enough to make all PAT's and most FG's.What about the punting situation? Brookhart was quoted on Rasor as saying that Hildreth would have to flat-out beat Stec to get the postion. In my mind you put the better player on the field; last year doesn't factor into the decision this year.

Did anyone on here attend any of the practices today or yesterday, and, if so, can you enlighten us as to how the young guys and transfers are doing? Are any new faces standing out?Thanks
