I didn't climb under a rock aftre the NC championship game and certainly will not today. If we had lost today I would still not climb under a rock. Win or lose I am proud of my team.

Cicero...I would agree with the spirit of what you say...we are a mid-major...yes, but calling us small time is just insulting.If we're small time, then why are we on Ohio State's schedule.I know the tone of some of these posts may be difficult for an Ohio State fan to take, but try to rise above.I don't expect everyone to bleed blue and gold. But when you go into an Akron area bar and you see people rooting against the local team...people who have no connection to Ohio State...it's a little difficult to take.I don't think inferiority complex is the right term here.It has just always been my nature to root for the underdog. Perhaps I was a little harsh, but being called front runner, loser, etc. will do that to you. All the blister about the "classless suckeye" fans didn't really pan out. Noone from any Buckeye board has rubbed it in and I was rather complimentary of your team in my post game remarks. I realize that it is the vocal minority we are talking about, but it still gets under the skin after a while.

What do you expect? Your a small time mid major football school with no sustained track record of winning. You are in a state with an elite football program that people have supported for generations. This false sense of superiority will not change that, it only makes you look bitter and as small in the mind as yoru team is in the landscape of college football. This isn't smack, just reality. Calling the fans of the elite team losers, front runners and so on will not win you a lot of sympathy.

I was that rep from AK-OLDIES (and Craig, we'll get you that shirt).All of the Wing Warehouse staff was wearing Ohio State gear. Since my money is blue and gold, I gave my waitress an AK-OLDIE shirt to cover her Buckeye shirt. She's from Can't State but doesn't care about Can't State sports.Get this...her manager made her take the AK-OLDIE shirt off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I asked my waitress if her manager was an OSU grad. Hopefully they will give us a good area to watch the game without any interuptions from Suckeye fan. Otherwise, I may have to do my best impersonation of an Oakland Raider fan on them. Loser? Who cares if they went to school there? People become fans of football teams well before they reach college age. Most people never go to college. Should they be banned from following college footballbecause they never went to college? That would be pretty elitist wouldn't it?

Yes but what exactly does that have to do with Akron? Quite a lot. It seems like almost half of our team played high football school in Florida Again though, how does that make Akron football compare to Ohio State football any differently? Personally I would much rather reach a NC and lose than toil in relative obscurity with an occasional near upset to keep things interesting. Ohio State's post season fortunes have little to do with the status of any MAC school football program.

In fairness, the Bucks defense was playing out of their minds today. As much as the offenses struggled both defenses were a treat to watch today.

You guys definitley have a defense. I htink your offense will do better in the coming weeks. I have never seen a better defense in college football than OSU is running right now.
