I am deeply sorry to hear all the personal attacks directed in my direction. I try to engage in meaningful rhetoric only to be made fun of with name calling.I know and hope that this board is better than this and that its moderators encourage enlightening ways of distributing ideas from different posters with different personalities. Txzipfan's signature resembles a series of mugshots. Akron needs the convicts to play on its football team. Look at the bright side, Akron has the chance to out perform Marshall in something. It means squat if these guys are not playing in about a year.

Akron is merely a stepping stone and a small one at that. It does not suprise me at all that you are losing all of your qualified individuals to better schools.Brookhart will be gone after next year and zips football will go back to being the dreads of the MAC. Akron will NEVER get a hockey team? Where do you zips intend on putting this team on your tiny campus?Akron has the smallest budget in the MAC and can barely afford football let alone hockey.I can assure you that you need not another sport for Miami to sweep you up in.

Akron consistently gives the MAC a bad name with attendance.Nobody really cares about the happenings in Akron athletics, so therefore you shouldn't expect a lot of excitement on gameday. It humors me to see so many disgruntled fans on this board regarding the subject.

Sorry captain, but Miami's hockey team is currently ranked #1 in the nation. Not an easy feat to accomplish.College hockey is a major draw and can sometimes rival that of college hoops. Unfortunately for you, the appeal is nonexistent for soccer especially in Akron.

Sorry to break it to you, but beating Western by 20 points at home is not saying much. They are a young team that needs to grow.We'll show you some real competition in Oxford if you guys are up for it.
