As a Can't State fan, I would like to congratulate UA on a very nice win last night over FSU. I thought they were in trouble when they blew that big 1st half lead, but they held it together and Dials was great in the OT. Good win for the MAC as a whole.UNLV is the next victim...

The common thread over the 2 games against Can't was how horrible the refs were... U of A fans: keep whining while not winning. Fear the Roo? Please. Al Fisher didn't fear the bottom of the net with 2 seconds left last night, either. Fear the F.L.A.S.H.E.S.See you at the Q for game #3 in the Finals.

Amen. You should take some of the blame here ZipsNation. First of all, there was no need for McNees to foul Q that hard. That was the start of it. However, Q should've responded in much more civil manner, no question. What escalated it was Milum coming over to Q and bumping him. Sure, he was sticking up for his teammate, but you can't do that - just ask the Phoenix Suns last year. Milum was ulimately responsible for the escalation of the fight and everyone was lucky that this incident didn't get waaay out control. Could've been extremely ugly.The refs did suck, as MAC refs usually do. No new news here. The difference was Can't stepping up the defense in the last 10 minutes to put Akron out of their misery. Q took it to Woods, by the way. That was the difference.Hey, you cannot expect to beat K.e.n.t. 100 times in a row... hopefully, we'll see each other in the finals at Quicken Loans Arena in mid-March.

As a Can't State grad, I was equally disappointed in the telecast. As a Can't State School of Journalism and Mass Communications grad, I was horrified! The announcers were terrible, to say the least. Every single reply caused epileptic seizures throughout the NE Ohio area.COME ON Can't State. Nice win, but horrible production.

Those top 2 will obviously be flip-flopped after tonight's game at the MACC Center.

Can't State is on to the Big Dance... I wish Akron was the opponent tonight because it would've been an absolute epic game. Toledo got hot at the right time of the year and was a tough opponent, but I the Q would've been electric with the Zips and the Golden flushes going at it tonight.

SGM, I assume you are talking about the Winslow thing...When he was downstairs with Frye talking to some Akron football players, someone asked if he brought his motorcycle to the game today... KW ignored him.When he walked by us (I was in the 2nd row of the upper level on the bench side) someone behind me yelled at him to leave his motorcycle at home. I guess he brought it upon himself, but I (and most people with a brain) would shut the heck up and at least try to be appreciative of him being alive, at Akron with Frye and not talking with the Akron footballers.

Well, by your own logic, we are definitely now SOMETHING to recon with. All week you talked about how your were bringing 1,000 fans to make some noise. I was there. You were NOTHING. Very entertaining post... you should be proud of your victory today. I was there, it was electric in the building and I give props to the Zips today.However, do not classify yourselves as MAC Champs yet, as you have NOT won the reg. season title and the tourney is not exactly guaranteed to you b/c you beat Can't State today. Let me first point out that I was at the game rooting for Can't St...1. The refs totally took any continuity out of the game in the first half. Touch fouls were called, blatant ones weren't and I don't blame Akron fans (and Can't State) fans for demanding a much better effort from the stripes.2. Akron came out in the 2nd half and wanted to win much more than Can't State - just plain and simple effort. I thought #32 for Akron was big during that run in the second half and #23 played great. Great effort overall by the Zips... congrats.3. Didn't like idiots probing Kellen Winslow Jr. about riding his motorcycle to the game or leaving his motorcycle at home... the kid was seriously injured and plays for the freaking hometown Browns... give him a break and maybe try to civil to him and give him a break. :macc:
