  4. The University of Akron Department of Athletics announced its 42nd Annual Varsity “A” Sports Hall of Fame Inductees on Monday. The Class of 2016 — Lynn Brant, Bill Hadden, Cameron Knowles, Blake Sattler, Kira Sims Cook, and Tomasz Smialek —will be honored during Homecoming weekend on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016.
